As Kapani Lodge is close to South Luangwa's Mfuwe area you are ensured of excellent safari experience at all times of the year.
Kapani is a luxury safari lodge, accommodating just 18 guests. Accommodation is in 8 standard suites each of which boasts a lounge with bar fridge, and the beds have overhead fans inside their walk-in mosquito nets. In addition there is the spacious Lagoon Houses, which enjoys private views and is ideal for honeymooners or those looking for a little more space and seclusion.
The main lodge area at Kapani is under thatch, and houses the lounge and library. It is pleasantly cool in the hot weather and warm and cosy in the cooler months with an open fire.
According to the season, dining is al fresco with dinner taken either on the terrace, the spacious deck, or by the swimming pool. Private dinners can also be arranged for guests seeking a little more seclusion. Most meals are served buffet-style, but for dinner you will generally be seated with the persons who have accompanied you on your safaris that day, plus your guide, giving you the opportunity to discuss your experiences of the day together.
The bar and dining area are set on a deck overlooking the Kapani Lagoon and adjacent grazing lawns, which means you might choose to miss the odd safari trip into the National Park in favour of staying in camp to see what wildlife comes wandering by. You can also cool-off in the Lodge’s secluded swimming pool.
As wildlife viewing is excellent in this area, you are guaranteed of fascinating game walks, allowing you the chance to learn more about this diverse area. Game drives allow you explore further, and can be enjoyed morning and afternoon.
